Cho A-yean takes her first victory in nearly 3 years at Kyochon Honey Ladies Open

Cho A-yean carded a 14-under-par 202 for a wire-to-wire victory at the 8th Kyochon Honey Ladies Open on Sunday at Kingsdale Golf Club in Chungju, North Chungcheong.

The three-day, 54-hole event was called the Kyochon Honey Ladies Open. Cho began the first round with a two-stroke lead over his opponent.

Lee Da-Yeon and Lee Ga-young carded five under on the second day to catch up with Cho.

On the final day, it was Cho who kept that lead with a bogey-less round, adding five more birdies and widening the gap to four strokes over Lee Ga-young.

This is his first win of the season and his first win in nearly three years.

After being crowned the 2018 KLPGA Tour Qualifying Tournament winner, Cho made her debut on the KLPGA Tour in 2019 and won her first and second titles that same season. Cho won both titles at the Lotte Rent a Car Ladies Open in April and the OK Savings Bank Se Ri Pak Invitational in September as a rookie.

In 2020, Cho’s best finish was a No. 5 at the SBS Tour Championship. She had her best finish of the season in October at the Jeju Samdasoo Masters. Last season, her best result was a No.
